Caroline Mini-Stories

Three mini-stories about Caroline for you today:

Story #1: Sad Duck
When I went into Caroline's room to get her up this morning, she noticed the duck on my pajama shirt. This particular duck has a tear on its face. Caroline pointed to the shirt/duck/tear and said "duck" (fyi she LOVES ducks). I told her, "yeah, it's a sad duck." Well, from then on, until I changed out of my jammies, Caroline would point to the duck on my shirt and say "duck shhh shhh shh" and hold her finger up to her mouth. I guess she couldn't tell that I said "sad" duck and thought I said "shh" duck. Totally cute.

Story #2: Rubber Duckie Can't Go To The Store
It was time to go to the grocery store and Caroline wanted to bring along a little rubber duckie. I told her no and tried to take it from her. She got upset and really wanted to take the duck to the store with us. To try and keep me from taking the duck away, she pops it right in her mouth to hid it from me. Two things go through my mind: a) choking hazard and b) ha, ha, your mouth is too small. If it hadn't been for the choking hazard, I think I would have gotten my camera because this little girl with a rubber duckie butt sticking out of her mouth was so cute and funny.

Story #3: Lemon Juice
I saved the best for last. As I was putting groceries in the fridge, Caroline noticed the little plastic lemon shaped bottle of lemon juice. I'm sure it looked like a little kiddie drink to her and she kept reaching for it and getting in my way. I tried telling her that it was yucky, but she still wanted it. I thought "okay then. You can have some and then you'll see that its not what you want." I give her a little taste and...she wants more!!!!! Opps, I forgot I was dealing with the little kid who will sit there and eat lemons like they are candy. Silly girl.
