Yesterday's Acedotes

Three funny little stories from yesterday starring the hilarious Caroline.

We are working on breaking Caroline of her pacifiers. For the most part she only gets them at bed time and nap time. But she insists on having the green ones. I discovered yesterday that Caroline hoards green pacifiers in her pillowcase - I found three in there. No wonder they are always so hard to locate. She knows we try to take them away from her, so she hides them for safe keeping. Silly girl.

We were in the drive through at McDonald's and I mentioned that the toys right now are My Little Pony. Caroline freaked out and started crying for a pony - a BLUE pony. We tried explaining that she WILL get a pony (after she eats her food) but it might not be blue. NO! BLUE! BLUE! I have no idea why she had her heart set on a blue pony. So as we are waiting for our food, Ryan and I are sitting there frustrated with Caroline's tears just hoping and wishing for a blue pony. Please be blue. Please be blue. Please be blue. Can you see where this is going? She got the blue pony!!! We were absolutely shocked. And Caroline was absolutely happy.

And then this morning she woke up and the first thing she asked for was a WHITE pony - which is the color of the pony she got last time. I was quite impressed that she remembered that she even had another pony AND what color it was. I'm blown away by her every day.

After McDonald's drive through we went to RCWilley to look at furniture for our new house. A little before closing time, an employee came over the loud speaker to let the customer's know that closing time is approaching. Then the funniest thing happened. Caroline looked up at a neon sign in the store and said, "Um, yeah. Apple juice. And fries. A napkin." She had just placed a drive through order. She heard a voice over the loud speakers, looked at the lit up sign and said what she wants. Isn't that how it works?? It was so funny! And she asked for a napkin too!!
