Lily's an old puppy

Last night I had a friend of mine, Sarah, over for a couple hours. Lily loves to have company over. She thinks the company's soul purpose is to play with her. Silly dog. When Sarah's boyfriend Chris came to pick her up, the three of us talked for a little bit while Lily hung out waiting for us to play with her. I always refer to Lily as a puppy even though she is almost 2 and age 1 is when they are considered "full grown". She's only 8 pounds at full grown size, so to me she is a perpetual puppy. When Sarah asked me how old Lily is and I told her almost 2, Chris replied "Oh so she's an old puppy." And that's pretty much the truth. I suppose technically she isn't a puppy anymore at all, but I like the term old puppy. The problem was, Lily didn't like that term. She started growling at Chris. It was weird. She never growls at people unless you are trying to take her bone. She kept growling at him until they left. I guess Lily didn't like being called old. Didn't even know she knew that word.

  1. Is this the Sarah you and I both know or someone else? I feel SO out of loop! If it IS here, YAY for a boy in her life!
