So last week we replaced the battery on our Scion. This week...well, I've had to jumpstart the Honda exactly 7 times this week. Every time we think we've figured out why the battery is draining - we're proven wrong the next day. I think it's time for a new battery. I'd have Ryan get one at Auto Zone and fix it tonight, but alas this is his one night a month to work late so it'll have to wait until tomorrow night. I think I can hold off on errands until Ryan gets home tomorrow. Even if I can't, I ROCK at jumping a car. I could do it professionally. I recommend everyone spend $30 and buy a jumper box thing that you charge and keep in your car. Then you won't need another car to help you jump your car. It's totally been worth it for us.
On a happier note - we bought our car seat and stroller set for our baby yesterday. It's so cute!
Before you change the battery, check your electrical systems. Sometimes a light left on will drain the battery. We had the same problem with our truck and even after we bought a new $100 battery, it was still draining. Call a mechanic shop or talk to someone about what might cause it. We haven't figured it out yet. Could be whats happening with your car, too.
ReplyDeleteAt Auto Zone they have this cool thing that they hook up to your battery and it can tell if the battery is the problem or not. If its not the battery, we'll have to take it into the shop. The battery is the cheapest thing to fix though so we are crossing our fingers on that. (Sad that a $100 battery is the cheapest fix. Cars are so expensive even when they work - gas, oil changes, etc.)
ReplyDeleteJust check the circuits of the car may be due to the electric spark the battery got damaged.
