It's Wednesday which means it is time for stories about my kids.
Daisy learned a new trick this past week. If I blink really hard in front of her, she'll copy me. It's so dang cute!!
Caroline currently won't let us call her "Caroline." She insists on us calling her "McStuffins." For those unfamiliar with the reference, there is a TV show called Doc McStuffins about a little girl who is a doctor that fixes stuffed animals and toys. Caroline loves this show and pretends to be her all the time. She even designates Ryan, myself, Daisy and the dog as other characters from the show and will pretend to fix toys. It's really cute - though the insistence upon being called McStuffins can get tiring. We even have to call her McStuffins in public or she'll get mad and scream. (I wonder what strangers think - especially when they don't know the reference) At least she has a good imagination.
Caroline likes to do things by herself, but she is still young and can't do all the things she wants to be able to do. The learning process can end up with some funny conversations.
Caroline: My turn! My turn!
Me: Okay, you do it.
Caroline: Help!
Me: Okay, let me help.
Caroline: No! My turn!
This will go back and forth for a while.
That's this week's stories.
Adding a couple more:
Caroline just said to me: Mommy bad manners.
I have no idea what I did.
I caught Caroline hugging the TV while watching Sofia the First. I told her to back up from the TV and she said: But I love Sofia.
