Learn Something New Everyday

Here is this week's list:

Sunday: Heroes is an AWESOME TV show. You should check it out on Netflix instant play if you have it.
Monday: There is a light that Jeopardy contestants watch to know when they can buzz in.
Tuesday: Olive Oil burns at a lower temperature than other oils.
Wednesday: "Adobe" and "Abode" are anagrams of each other.
Thursday: "Psalm" according to the dictionary does in fact have a silent "l". I have always said the l and will continue to do so. I have never heard anyone NOT say the l except on jeopardy. But I looked it up and it up and the word technically has a silent l. Strange. (I posted about that a while back - how Jeopardy had What is psalm? as the question in the category silent l.)
Friday: Wheel of Fortune thinks that the words "Together" and "Forever" rhyme. I'm not crazy to think they DON'T rhyme, am I?
Saturday: I learned how to make a cute owl decoration. (When I make it later this week, I'll have to take a picture and post it.)

  1. Multi-syllable words have to rhyme from the accented syllable to the end of the word, so you are correct that "together" and "forever" don't rhyme (as the "th" vs. the "v" prevents it), although they come closer than you'd initially think.
