Learn Something New Everyday

I used to maintain a blog that listed one thing I learned each day. It became too difficult to keep up with that and blog daily. But starting today, I will post one thing I learned each day from the previous week. Yippee!! I believe that the phrase "You learn something new everyday" is true. Even if you learned something really lame like what a celebrity named their child or what the weather forecast is, you still learned something. Years and years ago I watch the beginning of a lame made-for-tv movie. The mom in the movie had her 2 sons say something they learned that day each night at dinner. My family even tried doing that for a while. It was kind of fun. It's a little tricky to keep up, but here is my list of things I've learned this past week:

Sunday: A "pin" is the flag that marks the holes in golf
Monday: Jimmy Fallon is giving away free Subway for a year! I want to win!
Tuesday: Caroline is still okay with being swaddled (we've been using sleep sacks because she wasn't liking the swaddles - and even though we learned she's okay with being swaddled, she prefers the sleep sacks)
Wednesday: "A" is the most common letter in United States Postal Abbreviations
Thursday: Rico Suave (that one-hit-wonder song from the 90s) is not about a person named Rico Suave (like I always thought is was) It means "Rich and Smooth"
Friday: Chickpea is the same thing as garbanzo bean
Saturday: I learned how to work our baby monitors.
