Kids are so cute and adorable. And they say such cute and adorable things!! Below are a few of my favorites from the 5 and 3 year old I watch. (For the sake of the internet, they shall be named Adam, Eve and the baby will be PinchMe.)
Adam gave PinchMe some legos. I told him that she can't have legos because she is too little and could choke on them. Adam tells me: But I told her not to choke on them. I try to explain that PinchMe is a baby and doesn't know our words yet. Adam says: Okay, I'll tell her louder.
Eve and I were playing a game where she would wave her magic wand and turn me into different things.
Eve: Ba ba ba. Now you are a horse.
Me: Neigh. Neigh.
Eve: Ba ba ba. Now you are a frog.
Me: Ribbit. Ribbit.
Eve: Ba ba ba. Now you are a duck.
Me: Quack. Quack.
Eve: Ba ba ba. Now you are a purse.
Me: What does a purse say?
Eve: It says: I'm a purse.
While getting lunch ready for the kids, I ask Eve "what should we have with our chicken nuggets?" She replies "Um...plates!"
These kids are also fascinated with why I have to feed PinchMe with a bottle. The first couple weeks I watched them, everyday either Adam or Eve would ask something like: Why don't you have any milk? Did the baby drink all your milk already? Are you all out of milk? You have no milk? Once Eve randomly pointed to my breasts and said "No milk." And once after telling Adam that I won't have milk until my baby is born he turns to PinchMe and says "You are going to grow and grow and grow and then you can have a baby and you can have milk too."
That's all for now, but I am sure there are more stories to come.
