If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal.
If her daddy's poor just do what you feel.
Since I was raised on the semi-posh side of things, I totally expect to get fed on the first date. And not fast food either. (But something in between - like Bajios - is okay.)
Really, I don't have an idea of the perfect first date. It's been four years since I've been on a first date. And even before that there weren't a lot of dates. First dates tend to be awkward a lot of the time. So something low key is good I think. On TV people always go out to nice restaurants where you have to dress up real nice to impress the girl and everything. But I would feel really awkward having a ton of money spent on me for the first date. And I don't want to wear a dress on a first date either. I want to look nice, sure. But not extra dressed up. And flowers and chocolates on the first date - hmm - I think as a general rule, no. But it all depends on how well you know the person before the date. If you don't know her well but still want to get flowers or chocolates for her, get something small.
I guess that's it. Feel free to disagree. My opinion doesn't really matter on this subject anyway.
your opinion matters on all subjects! :-)
ReplyDeleteI like to go somewhere you can talk and get to know the person...NO MOVIES on a first date...that's pretty much my only rule.
