Books I Want to Read

Just thought I'd share the list of books I would like to read sometime in my life. Many of them have been on the list for years. Maybe actually writing down the list will help. There are just so many books out there. I love reading and I love writing and I love stories and ideas. However sometimes there isn't time for reading. Sometimes reading makes me tired because I am sitting in the same spot for too long of a time. And sometimes my laziness gets the best of me. But no matter the reason for not reading, I want to read more. Maybe you will find a book on my list you would like to try.
In no particular order:

*Choke by Obert Skye (sequel to Pillage which I have read)
*Leven Thumps Series by Obert Skye
*Being Sixteen by Allyson B. Condie
*Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan (I've read the first book)
*The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
*The Uglies, The Pretties, and The Specials (three separate books) by Scott Westerfeld
*The Shadow Children Sequence by Margaret Peterson Haddix (7 books in the series; I've read the first four)
*The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright
*The Actor and the Housewife by Shannon Hale
*Sahara Special by Esme Raji Codell
*Punished! by David Lubar
*Pictures of Hollis Woods by Patricia Reilly Giff
*Are You There God, It's Me Margaret by Judy Bloom
*Stolen Children by Peg Kehert
*The Totally Made Up Civil War Diary of Amanda MacLeish by Claudia Mills
*The Mysterious Case of the Allbright Academy by Diane Stanley
*Deep & Dark & Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn
*The Magic Half by Annie Barrows
*Band of Sisters by Annette Lyon
*The Samaritan Bueno by Jack Weyland
*As Always, Dave by Jack Weyland
*It All Started With Autumn Jones by Jack Weyland
*The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg by Rodman Philbrick
*The Homework Machine and The Return of the Homework Machine by Dan Gutman
*The Kind of Friends We Used To Be by Fances O'Roark Dowell
*Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix
*Tiger Eyes by Judy Bloom

If I think of more to add later, I shall. For now, I'm off to read!
Since quitting my job I've found lots of time for reading - even books that haven't made it to "the list."

  1. The Percy Jackson series is the BOMB!! I love it. The author also is coming out with a new series. The first book is called the Red Pyramid. Also, the Wednesday Letters is awesome as well. I have it if you want to...borrow it? Anyway, I'm thinking about reading the Leven Thumps books.

  3. Hi, I wanna read the Percy Jackson series and Uglies too. And you have got me interested in a couple of more books that I hadn't previously heard of. Cool.
