That is my new motto. I've decided that there are so many wonderful things to do in this world that if you are bored, find something to do. I don't care how old you are, your income level, your surroundings, or anything else. If you are bored, it's your fault. There are books to read, parks to visit, events to attend, games to play, people to visit with, television to watch, sports to view and play, pictures to draw, music to play, and so so so much more. There is always something to do if you are bored. There's even things like cleaning and helping others. And I'm not saying people should do everything. Find what interests you and do it. And if you have lots of other things going on, then you obviously aren't bored.
I remember as a child asking my mom what to do because I was bored. She would rattle off a ton of suggestions. And I'd just say no, no, no and continue to be bored. Sometimes I'd like a suggestion, but mostly I was just being a complaining little kid. And being bored was MY fault. I had a thousand things I could have been doing - playing with my brothers and sisters, going outside, reading, making crafts with all my unused craft supplies.
And I'm not saying you have to be constantly moving or anything either. Just because you are watching TV, it doesn't mean you are bored. But sometimes I catch myself watching TV because I'm bored and I'm just sitting there with nothing else to do. That's when I need to find something else.
And I suppose there are exceptions to this. Like if you get dragged to a boring event with someone. But don't take that to mean you have to stay bored. Find your own way of enjoying the boringness surrounding you.
My point is: If you are bored, it's your own damn fault.
You got it. Life is so full of awesomeness. there is no reason to ever be bored. (Especially in the summer!)
