First, Valentine's Day. In May, Jay Leno is doing a show in Wendover, NV. For Valentine's Day, we bought tickets to that show and will be going to that. I'm super excited about that. So because we spent money to go to that show in May, we kept our Valentine's Day pretty low-key (which is also good because we have a little baby at home that is still on "quarantine.") I saw the commercials that said that all your Valentine wants is to hear those three little words: I've got Reese's. So I got Ryan several varieties of Reese's (and it's his favorite candy.) Ryan came home from work and said he bought things to make me a homemade card and that he was going to be in the basement to make it and to not come downstairs til he was done. While he worked on the card, I went to our favorite Chinese place and got some take out. When I got back, Ryan took my downstairs for my "card". He had all the lights off, and our projector on with a heart picture showing on the screen. There were hearts and decorations everywhere and a giant sign that said "Ryan and Angela's Prom". Music was playing and we danced and had a good time. It was so cute that he made our basement into Prom. He even had refreshments (those super yummy soft Lofthouse cookies that I love) and a kissing booth. Above a chair was a sign that said: Kissing Booth 1 Ticket. And there were tickets all over! It was so sweet and cute! We had a great time at Prom dancing and spending tickets and eating cookies.
Yesterday Ryan and I took Caroline to Ryan's mom's house to babysit while Ryan and I went out for pizza and a movie. We ate at Este Pizza which has New York style pizza and is easily the best pizza in Utah. We got garlic knots too which were yum to the max. You can tell Ryan is a nerd because he said that garlic knots are breadsticks in a zipfile - breakstick.zip=garlic knots. We saw the movie The Artist which if you haven't seen it, I defintely recommend it (just like all the critics.)
Caroline is doing a super job of making diapers explode. She's at a really awkward size where size newborn diapers aren't big enough to fit all the poo, but size 1 are SO HUGE on her. I am so happy being Caroline's mom - even with all the poopy diapers. She's such a sweetheart.
Lily can be a bit of a bugger. She ate THREE cookies right out of the package on Valentine's Day when Ryan and I weren't looking. THREE FULL SIZED HUMAN COOKIES!! Luckily she didn't get sick or anything, but that was three less cookies I got to eat. Sigh.
Well, that's what's we've been up to.
**Just read the part about Lily to Ryan and he corrected me: I got three FEWER cookies because of Lily, not three LESS. Is it weird that I like having my grammar corrected?**
