Update on Us

It has been quite the busy month. Some days I feel like there hasn't been any time to breathe. Just a quick update:

Ryan is feverishly working on schoolwork. Graduation is in just over a week. He is constantly on the computer doing homework and studying and getting projects debugged, etc. I am so proud of him for all the hard work he has put into school these past few years. It is going to be so nice when all the school work is done. And since he has a job with Adobe we don't even have to worry about the job hunting stuff that a lot of recent graduates have to deal with. We feel very blessed.

I have been at home this month. I say that someday I'll get out there and apply for some small part time job, but it always seems like there is something in the way. Basically I don't want to apply for a job and then have to ask off work right away. And there just always seemed to be some big upcoming event. And at this point I figure I might as well wait until after Ryan's graduation. Hopefully I'll be able to find a job once I get around to looking for one. But I guess if I don't find one, life will go on.

Lily is doing good. She is such a cutie. I am so proud of her for always knowing which stuffed animals are hers and which ones are mine. She's kind of gotten into a whining phase lately. She'll whimper any time something doesn't go her way. What she doesn't understand is that I find her cries absolutely adorable so crying isn't going to get me to give in because then the cute sounds will stop. (At least I'm not so bad as to do things on purpose to make her cry.)

In other news - sad news - my uncle Chuck passed away last week. My parents flew into town for the funeral which was yesterday. Chuck was the uncle that I lived with while I was at BYU and I met Ryan while living at his house. It was very sad to hear the news that he had had a couple strokes. He was such a wonderful man and we are going to miss him very much. I know that he is now with our Heavenly Father and is very happy even though he is missing us as much as we are missing him.
