My Goofy Dog

Since I have no children, my blog often has tales of tails instead of prodigies of progeny. So this is going to be another story about my amazing dog Lily:

There are two treats that we have been giving her lately - pup-corn and milk bones bites. Recently I've been letting her pick which one she wants when it is time for a treat. I will take one of each treat, set them down on the ground about a foot apart and let her take one. She will sniff each one before she picks. It's so cute!!! And she always pick the milk bone bites over the pup-corn. (I guess I know which one she prefers now.) The funniest part: when she is done eating her milk bone bite, she goes back over to where the treat options were and sniffs around for the pup-corn. She can never find it because I put it away, but she will sniff around and look for several minutes before she gives up. You can just see the wheels in her head turning as she thinks to herself "where did it go? it was right here! maybe it's over here now? no. hmm. it couldn't have just gotten up and walked away. maybe i just didn't see it. no. it's really not here. harrumph."

I love Lily!
