Pork

My cooking skills are fairly limited though they have GREATLY improved in the last year or so. But I still will only cook chicken or ground beef. If I find a recipe that calls for something else, I find a different recipe. Lame, right? So last night I made pork for the first time EVER! And guess what!! It turned out GREAT!!!!!!! Ryan said it was the best pork chop he'd ever had. (And he doesn't lie about things like that.) On Sunday I watched the show Worst Cooks in America. One of the professional chefs taught his group of bad cooks how to cook a pork chop. It looked so easy that I figured I would try it. In case you want to try it too:

Place a slice of pork loin between two pieces of saran wrap. Using a meat tenderizer, beat up the meat until it is about half the thickness. Season with a little of salt on both sides. Place on a plate of flour and flip it over so as to coat the whole pork loin in flour. Brush off any excess flour. Cook on the stove with enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan at medium-ish heat until fully cooked. The end! So easy and so tasty!

  1. You go girl! (Most of us had fairly limited cooking skills until we got married, then they improve greatly because we cook every night!)
