Burger King

I used to be a Wendy's girl. Now I am a McDonald's girl. Ryan is trying to get me to be a Burger King girl because he says Burger King's Buck Double is the best dollar burger of all the chains. And personally I LOVE the Burger King fries. But after my experience at Burger King last night I don't think I could ever be a Burger King girl. When we got there to order, no one else was in line to order. It took them a couple minutes to see we were waiting to place our order then come over to take the order. We were order #14. We get our drinks and sit to wait for our order to be called. We sat by the window and could see the drive through cars going through the line. I totally understand that there is more urgency to get a drive through order done faster. However, we saw TONS of cars go through the drive through and get their orders before we got ours. I actually looked at my phone to check the time when we sat down. (We were going to a movie after dinner and I wanted to see how much time we had given ourselves to eat.) I looked at my phone when we FINALLY got our food. Guess how much time had gone by!!! 20 MINUTES!!! Seriously! Fast Food! 20 Minutes. That's how long you wait for your food after you order at a sit down restaurant. I was appalled at the slow service. It was completely horrible and I never plan to go back to that Burger King again. Plus, Ryan's burgers were burned!! It was the WORST fast food experience of my life. Oh - and we almost missed our movie because of it. (The only reason we didn't miss our movie - we ate very fast and ate some in the car on the way to the theater.)

  1. It's kind of presumptuous to write off the other hundred thousand Burger King locations because you had bad service at one particular location. There's this place out here called Big Jud's. They have two locations around here. The one closest to us is smaller, but much nicer. The other one is a little farther and the only time we went to that location, the service was terrible and the food (which is normally top notch) was mediocre at best. We asked what the problem was after waiting FOREVER for someone to even notice we came in and sat down, and they said that they were severely under-staffed. My original assumption that they just sucked was way off base. They were just having a bad day.

  2. For most people, if they had gone to the "bad" Big Jud's first, they wouldn't give the "good" Big Jud's a chance. First impressions (and impressions in general) are very important in our society.
